And these are they who are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred. Mark 4:20
This is the fourth type of giving which like First Fruit Offering through faith brings rewards of 30, 60, 100 or even a thousand fold according to Deut 1:11. The entire system of the universe is built around sowing and reaping. We reap what we sow.
What is sacrificial giving?
It is giving your best seed as the Lord directs you to give for spreading the Gospel of Jesus. It is not your tithe. It is besides your tithe and one has to be a tither first to give sacrificially. The gospel of Jesus is a free gift unto salvation but the means for spreading it costs money. It is Satan’s plan to squeeze the body of Christ financially so the gospel is not spread or to make believe that money is ours and we do not have to give. However-
In Psalm 50:10 He declares that He owns everything on this earth
Psalm 24:1 and 1Cor10:28 declare that the earth is the Lords and its fullness thereof.
Psalm 89:11 declares the heavens are the Lords, the earth is His; the world and all its fullness. For He founded it.
Therefore if scripture declares that everything on earth belong to the Lord, is it difficult to give to Him what belongs to Him? The Lord has given us custody of finances/talents while He is away to handle and distribute till He comes back and He will take an account of it all. We are distributors of Gods wealth therefore and it is scriptural to give sacrificially.
1Chron 29:14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? For all things come of thee and of thine own have we given thee.
David knew that God is the owner of all things and he was giving back to God for building the temple what God had blessed him with. His heart was right before God. Wealth did not possess him; he possessed wealth
How can I give sacrificially if I do not have enough?
Luke 9:16 (NIV) Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people.
The apostles had only five loaves and two fish which was the lunch of a young man and the crowd was 5000 plus . It was not enough to feed the crowd but when it was placed in the hands of Jesus; Jesus blessed it and gave it back to the disciples to be distributed and it multiplied. What do you have in your hand? Even if it is a widow’s mite place it in Jesus’ hands. He does not need our wealth; He sees our hearts if we love Him more than the wealth or if our wealth possesses us.
You may have a big financial need and the money you have isn’t enough to meet that need. Don’t eat that seed as this can now become your “seeding seed”. Place it in the hands of Jesus (through your church or ministry you partner with) as a seed offering and direct the seed towards your need and let the Lord do the rest.
What is seeding seed?
Genesis 1:12 And the earth brought forth green grass and herb yielding seed after its kind and the tree yielding fruit whose seed was in itself, according to its nature; and God saw that it was good.
Seed producing after its own kind is seeding seed. The earth is the good soil of any spirit filled church or ministry that is spreading the Gospel of the Kingdom and winning souls into the kingdom. The fruit of abundance is in the seed and the seed in the fruit. It is the Lord who provides seed to the sower, bread for our food and multiplies the seed sown according to 2Cor 9.
